JM
It was a new one on me! Have a look at this: http://www.internationalegg.com/corporate/eggindustry/section.asp?id=
chickencam
My OH mentioned this at the weekend, he saw it in the paper, wouldn't know about it otherwise.
MedusA
We're planning to have scrambled eggs and jacket potatoes for dinner tonight, to celebrate!
Ain't Nobody Here
Every day is Egg Day in our household . Great that our girls' efforts are celebrated though . I'll nip out and tell them, they'll be delighted .

Chook n Boo Mum
My chooks decided to celebrate by not laying this morning. So did Snowdrop! Probably get a double yolker tomorrow... The other two however performed beautifully by about 9am. Eggs are still in the nestbox though, so DD can collect them once she's out of her school uniform! She complained the other day that she never gets to collect the eggs on a weekday! Sha x
Ain't Nobody Here
I celebrated World Egg Day by dropping one of Maisie's eggs on the kitchen floor .
Chook n Boo Mum
Ooops, ANH, that's the sort of thing my DD has done - twice ! She now has to collect them in a basket ( so she can drop all three together no doubt!!! ) Huge & humble apologies for casting nastertiums (sp?) on my Snowdrop's good name - she did lay, Daddy had brought a Buttercup egg in early this morning when he let them out! Unfortunately all three now lay very similar eggs, so I have no idea who has laid what! When I got them, I chose 3 different birds so I would know which one was which, not taking any notice of the potential egg colours! Maybe in the future......., maybe I won't worry....! kez
I'll have to have a word with my two. I don't think they realised it was World Egg Day. Still waiting for our first egg
