Cinnamon
I am feeling horrible. My head aches, my ears are buzzing,my throat is constricted, dry & ho"Ooops, word censored!", my limbs are killing me & my legs are all weak. Is it the flu? Nope, I went to see Kaiser Cheifs last night & totally over did it Brilliant gig, but I feel like I have aged 10 years overnight Devon was at the barrier, I was a bit more restrained about 10 from the front, behind the mosh pit. She caught Rickys sweaty towel ,& met the band at the stage door for photos & chats afterwards. She has just skipped off to school on cloud nine, whereas I am going back to bed! I think I am getting too old for this!
Cate in NZ
Sounds like a great night Sarah . I hope you recover quickly, maybe a quiet and lazy day today, perhaps with a couple of paracetamol for the headache . So, are concerts not recommended for parents of teenagers then , I've just agreed to go to a Duffy concert with my son, I think I've been asked to go so that I can drive and pay for the tickets , but I'm quite liking the idea. Will I regret it do you think
Cinnamon
I think it will be somewhat more restrained than the Kaisers I love Duffy actually, she has a wonderful voice. I am sure it will be fantastic
kitbag
I'm really sorry that I missed it now!! Oh well, at least I didn't faint or anything!! Cinnamon
They will probably be playing the Fest next year Kitbag I am annoyed at Devon. I left her & her boyfriend at the stage door,to sit in the car (it was freezing) & told her to text me when the band came out so I could come & meet them too. She forgot, & only rang me after they had got on the tour bus They were really lovely though she said & took lots of time chatting with the fans that were there, but I did want to get a closer look at the drummer who, from what I could see, was quite lovely

The Dogmother
I am sooo jealous on both accounts! Sarah, you are so not too old. I still go to Global Gathering and I'm older than you
Valkyrie
Oh lucky you - I have a nice dollop of pharyngitis at the moment via germs from little bruv! I would much rather sound like Marge Simpson by having a good sing-a-long at the concert - I am corrected - gig!
jlo
Are you still feeling grots Koojie? Hope it clears up soon. Also hope that the Kaiser Chiefs hangover improves!
Snowy
I've just discovered concert going with my son! OH is only interested in classical and opera, so it's nice to rebel and go to see some modern stuff! Although it does depend what it is - anyone fancy accompanying son to see Motorhead next month? (warning - earplugs needed ) Glad you enjoyed the Kaiser Chiefs Cinnamon - I'm beginning to like them!
lisa33
I can sooo sympathise with you. I saw the Kaiser Chiefs on Sunday and Deus on Wednesday. I have been like a zombie at work all week. Snowy - I would have loved to go to Motorhead next month!!!! Unfortunately I have totally 'gigged' out my finances.

I have been really good as I am saving up for our Florida trip so resisted the keiser chief tickets. Lucky you. I am going to see Feeder with my 13 year old son on Monday . They are playing a gig up the road in a great small venue so I couldnt resist. Smacked hands for me and no more gig tickets.
Valkyrie
Jlo - feel OK, just croaky! DD went to see The Blackout last Friday - they are quite good. The only concert I went to was to keep a friend company (definitely not my choice) - Cliff Richard , not that bad really.
