MedusA
Our Allotment Autumn Fair is on tomorrow, and I'm taking 2 of our girls for a "Meet the Chickens" stall (complete with Omlet leaflets to give out, of course). I've spent 4 hours today helping to set up gazebos, tents, tables and chairs. The forecast is cold but bright in the morning, but I need all your positive vibes please to keep the forecast afternoon rain at bay. BeckyBoo
Best wishes for tomorrow, sounds like a lovely show! There's a few shows and fireworks displays on round our way too, going to try and catch at least a couple this half term. Fingers and everything crossed for you for the weather, if it's anything like today it will be lovely Mrs B

MedusA
sounds like a great way to spend an Autumn day, hope to see some pics! Rain, rain stay away come back another day! Hope that works xxx It was a fabulous day (even if the weather started bright, but deteriorated gradually throughout the day). We did manage to get everything packed away before it rained seriously. The Silkies were marvelous and a big hit with adults as well as the kiddies. Muggle even managed to "save" her egg-laying for the show, complete with proudly announcing it very loudly! I gave away quite a few Omlet leaflets and had some lovely chicken-chat with people who have either had chickens as a child or are planning to get some. One couple said they only came because it said "Meet the Chickens" on the poster! We even met a lovely couple who live in our road and are expecting ex-batts from BHWT in November, so have invited them to come round and meet all our girls, see our set up and have offered to help (if we can) with any concerns they have when their girls arrive. We raised loads of money for allotment funds. Our next big project is an on-site shop. Thanks to all of you for the good wishes. Obviously it worked. The only downside was my camera battery ran out after I'd taken only one picture , so I hope we can get some copies of other people's pics. Anyway, here's the one pic of the girls I did manage to get and one of the flower pot I painted in the Children's Tent
