Omletina Kyckling
This weekend I'm painting....boring boring!! I have a very long corridor upstairs off which all the bedrooms lie - it's a good 45-50 foot long, and I'm painting over the walls....at the moment it's a darkish yellow and as that corridor is north facing I'm painting over in a rich cream to brighten it up (it has long cream curtains at the windows for decoration only as there are shutters, and a wooden floor with a dark blue runner running all the way up the corridor)... I could do with some positive thoughts to get me through my painting as it's soooo boring painting on your own!!
Chickvic
Sending you some positive vibes! I too am painting, both of my children's rooms and my mom's kitchen! Good job it's half term otherwise I'd never do it! Unfortunatly my sons room is green and blue so I'm having to go over it in white first to kill the colour then paint it again afterwards - it's driving me nuts!!! Tessa the Duchess
I really like painting, as long as it's emulsion, don't much like painting gloss. I find it very therapeutic. Put some music on, I usually play something like The Gypsy Kings which sort of gets you moving. Wish I lived nearer, I would come and help Tessa
redhotchick
Put the radio on or a CD! Cover the player in a plastic bag to keep it from paint splatter. I find painting, difficult to get started, time consuming to do the preparation, quite soothing to paint and very satisfying when it is completed! Good luck! Plum
I find listening to Madame Butterfly makes painting therapeutic - try it.
