laurmurf
Yes, we did it... hellymisscloud and I went to the most beautiful area near the famous Chillingham cattle to pick up our new pumpkin, then down to Butterknowle near Bishop Auckland to fill it up (more on the breeder in another post). We brought home 3 young girls, 15 weeks old, in the form of a black orpington with the most beautiful beetle green feathers, a buff orpington who's more strawberry blonde and a cream legbar with a quiff. The Yorkshire lads and lasses will be laughing themselves sick, but actually my OH was delighted when the girls and their pumpkin came home! He didn't seem to bat an eye about Ayrshire on Saturday either (mind you he was wearing a rather fetching coat!).

MedusA
What fabulous names! DD and I were originally going to call our first two girls Willow and Tara, but plumped for Mulder and Scully instead. Pics please!
laurmurf
A warm bath for the girls, followed by an even warmer blow dry. Battles poultry tonic and warm dark bedtime in their new pumpkin seems to have perked the girls up enormously. Will report more later - being rushed out of garden and away from my new darlings ( ) for a holiday... as if a holiday is important? Hellymisscloud and ED are in charge and are pushing us out the door.. they plan hen parties in our absence!
