Omletina Kyckling
I decided to go to Ikea today, in Milton Keynes and decided to let TomTom show me the way....he decided that rather than take me to Ikea he'd take me on a tour of the housing estates of MK.....I'm sure it wasn't user error before I set off and that I didn't put the wrong postcode in but I ended up where I wasn't supposed to be. Milton Keynes is not a good place to get lost as there are many, many roundabouts....me and Baby Landy have been around most of them today so if anybody was in Milton Keynes and saw a green Land Rover pick up going around and around the roundabouts looking confused it was me!! I've been once before but I was navigating with a map and a friend was driving, so I managed to follow my nose and get to Ikea in the end, and I even managed to get what I went for! I've come home and now I have a migraine/headache and it hurts lots.
Snowy
Poor you, I can sympathise! All those roundabouts look the same after a whle don't they? When I lived there I had a system of counting roundabouts to get me home - off the motorway, turn right, 4 roundabouts. Right again, 3 roundabouts, left, 1 roundabout. If ever i lost count I literally was lost
Jools
I was brought up and lived near Milton Keynes for over 30 years, but I still couldn't find my mum's house when she moved! I had to phone so she could direct me in.
Egluntyne
TomTom has taken me on a couple of interesting detours ove the last couple of years....but never through Milton Keynes, let it be said.
lisa33
I've never gone to or come back from Ikea in MK the same way. I always get lost there!!
Looney
This sounds all too familiar....I decided to go to Ikea in MK and got very lost trying to work out which way to turn off each roundabout. Took me ages to get there! Thank goodness I was in the car alone, had OH been there he would have blown a gasket!!
Omletina Kyckling
Half the problem is their map in the Ikea catalogue and on the website is nothing like reality!
Paola
I hate that when that happens At least you got what you wanted eventually
