jlo
I am sure that there was a thread about this not so long ago?? At a similar do a lot of women went as "The lady in red." I varied it slightly by going as "Devil Woman". The winner wore a T-shirt on which had been printed the previous day's date - you guessed it, "Yesterday!" hilda-and-evadne
An old school friend is having a birthday party with fancy dress. We all have to come as song titles. I have only tomorrow morning to prepare and I don't know what title to go as. Ideas please!!! I once went to a fancy dress party as Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary (How does your garden grow? With silver bells and cockle shells and pretty maids all in a row). My costume was entirely made of crepe paper (I was aged 5), and I carried a trowel and small fork. A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Barbie Girl by Aqua (dress all pink and girly) Get a joke shop buzzer which goes in the palm of your hand - every time you shake hands with someone, you are a 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson. Cut out a big love heart, put it on string and wear it round your neck and suck a dummy - Baby Love by Diana Ross. Although I think Putting on The Ritz is genius. pistachio
we had a great time and guests included Devil Woman, Rock the Kasbah, Sheriff fatman, I shot the sheriff, Killer queen, Come as you are, I'm for ever blowing bubbles, Rockstar, shiny happy people. In the end I decided that since I was walking I needed to have a costume that included a leather jacket since it was freezing and rainy. I ended up going for "Stand & Deliver" and doing the whole highway woman look with the adam Ant white stripe and ruffled shirt and neckerchief. The ritz idea was inspired but i would have arrived like a quiche with the rain as it was. Plenty of ideas for next time too I'm awaiting the photos from a friend.
