MedusA
Oh dear. I "won" one from Lady Butterfly too. Is there a problem with her/them? The rest of my five beads are genuine Troll or Pandora. I thought I'd check out an ebay site and that one seemed OK at the time, but now you've got me worried.
Omletina Kyckling
I bought some lovely dangly chicken earrings from Carol Clift at the fair Snowy is talking about, they are gorgeous....she had all sorts of animal ones, and the detail on charms was lovely....she also had individual charms for £5 each.... Where's the photos Diane? Oh heck, since hubby came back from Sweden I've been a terrible Omleteer, hardly ever get on here!! We've been working all the hours trying to get on with the master bedroom and ensuite and it is never ending!! I just tried to take some photos and they are awful, but here is one as a taster for you, will try to take better ones in daylight....(if I'm allowed ten minutes off from work!) jomaxsmith
I "won" one from Lady Butterfly too. Is there a problem with her/them? Not that I know of, I was just trying to reassure Lesley that the charms I bought from her and another dutch seller last Tuesday have yet to arrive. I should imagine surface mail from the Netherlands takes a while. I'm hopeful her charms are genuine, by the way. Jo
Groovychook
Oh, thank you, you wicked, wicked lot, for pointing me in the direction of these beautiful bracelets! I've never been too keen on the traditional style, dangly ones but always liked the idea of charms. I've informed Mr. Groovychook, have made a new folder in my favourites and filled it up with loads of different shops. I have told him that this will make Christmas & Birthday's sooo much easier for him in future... I am now sitting back and drumming hopeful fingers!!! Am I right in thinking that pandora charms will fit troll bracelets and not the other way around? And, are the leather bracelets fairly robust? I'm planning on starting with one of those so as not to scare OH too much with initial outlay!
Lesley
I posted last night......but it seems to have disappeared - obviously didn't click Submit My bead from the Dutch seller didn't arrive yesterday - the bracelets ordered at the same time from the seller in Orkney have been delivered, tried on, returned for alterations to the length and returned to me in time for a Birthday on Tuesday Excellent service! Lovely photos Omletina! - I'll keep an eye on that website as well. Groovychick - yes, Pandora beads will fit a Trollbead bracelet but not the other way round. The twisted leather bracelet I have seems fairly robust - although the catch could be a problem. I've bought one for Lauren for Christmas but I've also bought the sterling silver chain for her birthday (11) in January so she'll have one for every day wear and one to keep and add to and to wear as she grows up. craftyhunnypie
Hi - can someone please point my hubby in the right direction to buy me the correct bracelet & a few charms. It's my Xmas prezzie. We have set a £50 budget for each other. We went in the jewellers yesterday & I tried on a lovelinks bracelet. But it was £47.99 just for the bracelet & only lovelinks charms fit it. I want a bracelet that is silver & I want it so that people have a good choice of what they want to spend on charms for me. Please help, as he is a bit lost of where to buy from & ther are a lot of none silver bracelets on ebay. Poor love, he just wants it to look nice on Xmas day. Thanks, Emma.x
Lesley
I can PM you about mine Emma - I posted a photo a few pages ago - there are two bracelets in the photo - one is smoother than the other. Let me know which you like and I'll give you a link to where I bought it. They were both from Ebay shops - very prompt delivery by Recorded Delivery. Both around the £20 mark - leaving plenty left for charms! I'll also post a photo of my bracelet now that it is put together............. ...just a minute...... Lesley
I'm just waiting for the silver 'Three in One' charm to come now. Some of the beads are quite cheap ones and I will replace them with authentic beads over the next few years........
Groovychook
That's a beautiful bracelet Lesley! Love the colours... I'm so !!
Lesley
Thank you! - Carl is very pleased with what he has bought me for my Birthday He will add charms/beads in future years.
The Dogmother
He will add charms/beads in future years. Does he know this? I can just see you showing it to him an him saying 'very nice... have you seen Jazz's lead?'
Lesley
Yes, he has seen it - and even joined in the converstaions about it before he paid for it ....although I did have to wait until he'd finished rolling on the floor with Jazz before I could get his attention
The Dogmother
At least you know who comes first Lesley
Lesley
I certainly do! I keep thinking you've come to tell me my bracelet isn't symmetrical (it will be when the last bead arrives! )
The Dogmother
I hadn't even noticed, but Phil would have picked it up.... he's like you in that respect.
Lesley
My charm from the Dutch seller has just arrived! ....in a padded envelope, with no extra wrapping or covering note - it flew out of the envelope as I opened it and took me ages to find I do like it though.... MedusA
Well at least it did arrive, Lesley. That's a relief! Your bracelet looks lovley BTW.
jomaxsmith
Mine have just arrived too from the two Dutch sellers - came online to pm you about it. Only one charm from Lief whatsit arrived when I paid for two so hopefully the other one hasn't fallen out en route and will arrive soon. What do you think of the quality? They look a bit fake to me, but the genuine ones I bought from a jewellers are also fairly rustic. I am a bit cross with myself for buying cheap beads and charms now, I wonder if I would feel happier if I'd paid full price and built up my collection slowly? Jo
Lesley
I'm not cross that I've bought some of the cheaper beads - I will just gradually replace them....and pass the cheaper ones on to Lauren for her 'everyday' bracelet. The quality of mine is OK - you get what you pay for I suppose I think it will look better once it is on the bracelet. I have three sellers in the UK who I have been very happy with and so I will stick to those for future purchases. But........... look what I just found......... http://coolrocks.co.uk/primrose-pr-3172.html?trid=1227876252z858462z0a3d084b30007z I like that......a different shape! I haven't looked to see if they do it in a different colour yet.....
The Dogmother
@ Lesley Put Carl's credit card away!
Cooks
glad it arrived Lesley, one of mine from that seller flew out the envelope too!, the other from same seller was wrapped up so tightly I couldn't get into it...not much consistency it seems. But as for quality I am happy, they look exactly like I was expecting. Haven't had chance to take photos but I will at some point.
BarbaraJ
My australian order arrived, no tax to pay would use again if cheaper http://www.beadsandgifts.com.au/Troll_Beads.php
jomaxsmith
So, the big question is - do we think the Dutch charms are real Trollbeads? or fake? I can't decide Jo
Cooks
real IMO there's an english seller of authentic trollbeads on ebay also that buys her stock from him... I saw on her feedback.
abwsco
We've been away but the rest of my beads were here waiting for me. All from the dragonfly lady and the remaining one from the other dutch seller. I've now been able to compare the bead I was "iffy" about and that does look identical just more tarnished, so I'm going to bung it in some cleaner. For those of you with authentic troll beads do each charm have numbers stamped on them somewhere.
