kitbag
...it all started with waking up and realising that it was 7:45 and i have to leave at 8:30. Then the shower ran cold, and then i realised that it was going to be a bad day! Then i was actually late for school because i had to put my bassoon in the school music cupboard. it was all ok until PE, when i nearly fainted because we were doing gymnastics, and i pucshed myself too hard. I was supposed to go to a concert rehersal at 5th lesson, but i felt really sick and dizzy. I told the very scary head of music that i was going home to rest and she said that it was ok and she would see me tomorrow. I went to see my head of year who said i could go home, so i went to pupil reception, where theysaid that they had spoken to my mum and she had said that i had to stay at school. I didn't end up going to the rehersal because i thought it would be stupid playing a bassoon if i was feeling dizzy anyway. The scary head of year saw me walk out of school because she was on duty, and i got a really bad shouting at and gave me a massive guilt trip. I understand that she is stressed because of the school concert, but there is really no need for her to do that to me. I am a good person and i am stressed too. I don't deserve it or need it right now. Thank you for listening. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Egluntyne
That is a shame Kitbag. Does she know that you have been having problems with fainting lately? Your health is more important then her concert I'm afraid.

Ain't Nobody Here
You poor thing . The last thing you need when you feel awful is somebody shouting at you . Why on earth did she shout at you - she'd told you it was OK to go home . Look after yourself and keep warm .

Chocolate & a nice mug of hot chocolate with squirty cream on top, plus a mooch round this forum will make you feel better. You could make a quick mug cake! Hugs. mostin
Big hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I too have a mother who belives in "soildering on", trouble is, she never gets ill but I do . She's still the same at 63 and I'm 31 . Don't let them pressure you or make you feel guilty for putting your health first. I am so pleased you felt you had a place to come for understanding, and don't feel ashamed about crying all afternoon. Bottling things up will only make you feel worse. Have a really good wail and throw some stuff around since everybody is out.

Couperwife
does your mum know that you are feeling like you are about to faint? you may have low blood pressure or it could be exam pressures - what year are you in? I would have a word with her when she gets home, she will probably be able to tell from looking at you that you arent right. (my mum can, but I was never allowed to go home from school - I had measles once and got sent in ) either way, loads of (((((hugs))))) snuggle up and watch some trashy tv cathy x
Chook n Boo Mum
All your Aunties Omlet have spoken! Are the arms on here long enough to reach? Have you been to the doc to get a check up - I forget from the last posting re your fainting, it's my age you know! - if not, you really should get it checked out. If it is low sugar you must eat regularly (not a bad idea anyway, as we all forget to eat or eat the wrong stuff when exams/concerts etc are about), if it's low blood pressure that needs watching too. I had a boyfriend back in the dim & distant past, who had LBP, he passed out in the shower & cracked his head on the taps; it could have been really nasty had his mum not been in the house & heard him land. Hope you feel better soon honey, Sha x

(i am in year 11!) As for the trashy tv, it is Gok Wan now, and then it is Take that are coming to town - yay! All your Aunties Omlet have spoken! Seagazer
Megan I am so sorry you have had such a bad day. I hope you are feeling better now. I'm watching Take That - its brilliant. My daughter had a horrible teacher when she was doing her A level Physics. He actually told us in front of her that girls can't do physics as well as boys - to prove him wrong she got an A*. He actually upset her so much though that she walked out of parents evening. We complained and they moved her into a class with a teacher with a more 'modern' outlook. When you youngsters are doing your exams, the last thing you need are teachers that are mean. I hope you sort out your fainting and try not to worry about school. Guest
One of my girls - in my tutor group fell foul of the "scary head of music" a couple of years ago. She was going home because she felt shattered, had spoken to me and I had spoken to her Mum. Scary head of music was having a go at her in the corridor and telling her that she had to give up Ballet as school was more important. The girl was in the middle of a 1 week production and was just totally wiped from evening performances and school the next day. Frankly I expected a music teacher to appreciate the pressures of performing more than me - I was the girls form tutor and ICT teacher - I'd told her to go home after she was falling asleep in my lesson! The music teachers attitude made the girls decision about which A level to drop in year 13 very easy. Daft woman lost herself a good student there.
