How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

I went out half an hour ago to call the girls in and couldn't find three of the gingernuts anywhere.

I hopped over neighbour's fences ( I have permission...they like the eggs ) and the girls were no where to be seen, went up the drive to see if they had gone onto the road. Nothing doing. Searched the out buildings and under shrubs. Nothing. But, encouragingly, there were no signs of feathers anywhere.

 

Then OS, who had been roped in to the search said...."I don't suppose they are already in the cube are they?"

 

They were.

 

Fast asleep.

 

Phew.

Phew, ours put themselves to bed but they are in a run that is fox proof but Daisy gave me a fright when she flew up in the rafters......

Mine are in a fox proof run, but I like to get them in before sundown and slide the bolts.

 

Must chase them in half an hour earlier tomorrow.

I'm always 'losing' my pekins when I check on them at night. Several times they have been found under a bush or more commonly, tuck up underneath a cochin in the cube.

I think that is the reason why Omlet advise keeping the chooks locked in their run and cube or eglu for a week so they know where bed is......

Poor you, what a horrible experience even if it ends well. I reckon yours are dirty stopouts anyway. Mine have tucked themselves up by five past four every night.
