Guest
The utter rubbish that people buy (and pay a lot for) on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Glorious-Coconut_W0QQitemZ260014432418QQihZ016QQcategoryZ1469QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem *shakes head* Some people really have more money than sense. gotsomechickens
well you can get some cheap (and decent) stuff on ebay.
Sheilaz
I thought it was a joke, Shona, until I saw the price! Only just over 2 hours left if anyone else wants to bid. How can it be serious? Is it a code for something else, or false bids (but percentage goes to to Ebay doesn't it, so still dumb) or, real? I don't believe it! Some good items go unbid, others go for above worth, some are clearly just jokes & go unbid (I recall "piece of old rope" ) but this takes the biscuit! Guest
I think it is serious - I've read, and re-read the listing about 15 times, thinking I was missing something, but I'm left thinking that some people just will buy anything. Now if I could get them over on to MY auctions, I'd be laughing!
Egluntyne
Fair play to the seller if he can legally get stupid people to part with their money. Some one once sold a Tesco carrier bag on Ebay. Went for about 4 quid I think. The buyer would be best advised to give the money to a hospice or animal sanctuary if s/he has so much to burn. Think I'll see what I can get for the contents of my Eglu Poo Tray. Will pitch it as a natural product.
Cinnamon
Very good - but not as funny as the Air Guitar ....case not included Someone once swiped a glass bottle in frnt of Brad 'n' Angelina,& sold the air they had breathed - genius
Guest
Someone once swiped a glass bottle in frnt of Brad 'n' Angelina,& sold the air they had breathed - genius But then how do you prove it's 'Brad air'?! Surely I could get chookiehubbie to breathe into a bottle, then make a huge profit on ebay, marketing it as Brad and Angelina air........ Actually, I need a way to pay the holiday visa bill due in soon........
Eyren
Darn, you beat me to citing the air guitar There's a guy in Canada who put the snow in his yard on ebay a couple of years ago (buyer collect only!), along with tinfoil hats to protect your pets' brains from alien mind control
One Man Banned
.....or the one pound coin that went for more than £1!!!
Egluntyne
Have just shown this to my son. He tells me that when Paula Radcliffe took her.....erm......comfort break, the result ended up on Ebay. I don't know if he is joking, but it is no more ridiculous than the coconut or an air guitar.

Charlottechicken
And I've got a huge log off mine, must be 20 inches in circumference and 3 feet long just drying in the shed waiting to be cut into smaller logs, never thought of flogging it on ebay. Mind you, it weighs a ton, don't fancy my chances with those new postal rates trying to send it anywhere Some people are just sooooooo resourceful
