I have decided that my memory brain cells have relocated to my bottom. I have evidence for this. I will be sitting in the lounge and will think of something that I need from the utility room. A few seconds later, I am standing in the utility room with a blank expression on my face. A couple of minutes later, I admit defeat and head back to the lounge. As soon as my bottom hits the sofa, I remember what it is that I went in for!

 

Sounds like me!!

 

I left the TV on in the front room on Saturday (I had turned it on while I was putting up the Xmas tree), turned out the light as I left the room and went into the Kitchen to make tea, then shouted at Son (who had been upstairs all afternoon) why had he left the TV on if he wasn't watching it!

Glad it's not just me or my age

 

Thought I would look something up on Google......by the time I had located my laptop, switched it on, loaded Google.....I had completely forgotten what I had wanted to look up The minute I switched off the computer, I remembered what I wanted to look up

 

Same here! I have done this so many times

 

Or, if I go shopping without a list but there is something essential I need to buy (milk, cat food, loo roll, coffee) I can be guaranteed not to buy it and only remember when my keys go in the front door

 

And as for the walking into a room and completely forgetting why I went in there . . . . . I am only 37 too

I spent a panic stricken 10 minutes last week, staring at my Dyson Vacuum cleaner because I couldn't remember how the heck to remove the cylinder for emptying.

 

I've only had it for 7 years.

Despite what my grandsons say I am not old! Sixty is the new forty isn't it?

 

nevertheless, this morning I:

 

remembered to switch on the radio half way through The Omnibus

 

popped upstairs for something urgent and forgot to go down again until half way through Desert Island Discs... (I was on here )

 

started peeling veg using my 3 colander system (1 for washed veg, 1 for peeled veg, 1 for peelings/s"Ooops, word censored!"s) then got confused and mixed it all together

 

repeat above by several times

 

went outside to say "Good morning" to the girls then forgot to change from Muckboots to blip blops on re-entering the house the mud will have dried by the time I get round to Dysoning

Id put mine down to baby brain- mind you I am pushing 30 as my hubby keeps reminding me( he is a mere 26)

I forgot to pick up step son from school a couple of weeks go he gets the bus now

I once left early to pick up Granddaughter and thought I'd do Waitrose before collecting her from piano class... It wouldn't have been so bad but I was merrily chatting away to her and only realised I'd forgotten to pick her up when she didn't reply after about 5 minutes

 

and that was years ago...
