Working from home

Recommended Posts

As we may need to supplement our income, I might have to look at getting a second job, & something that I can do from home, so I can tie it in with the company secretary work I already do, would suit me really well.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience of this?

I have heard that you can do proof reading at home, & would rather do that than something maths based

Teaching? Helping children with homework or on a weak subject? (Although normally this involves maths... :? Teaching English as a foreign language to adults? Can you knit? In the past I've knitted for local designer shops, it's not a lot of money but the work is relaxing and you can do it while watching TV in the evenings... Good luck!

Does working with peoples pets interest you. :D Only I worked full time as an Ofsted inspector (yeah I know but someones got to do it lol) & ran a small business visiting pets (generally cats) in their own home whilst their owners were away.

You can take on as much as you wish and the added enjoyment of spending time with a variety of pets. :D We now do it full time & have a handful of Pet Care Assistants & Petsitters working for us as its taken off so well. If you want it to flourish it can do, but iif you want to keep it low profile thats okay too :D I love it, especially when we're asked to look after a run full of chickens

I think you have to be a bit careful with proof reading because there are lots of companies offering the training, but I am no sure how much work there is at the end of it. You might end up spending out rather than earning.

If you do company secretary work now, why not advertise yourself as book-keeper, admin work for local firms who have work to be done but can't afford a member of staff. Much of this sort of stuff can be emailed/taken home to do.
