AnnieP
Not sure how many of you are near Scarborough, or like music, but my favourite performer, Nick Harper is playing this festival, which looks wonderful: Its free! He is awesome and not to be missed. September 17th, so have a look and consider going if you're in the area: It will be brilliant! link here
theherd123
I glanced at the title to this post very quickly & thought it said 'Autistic Gathering'!
Popcorn
Darren is a fan of Nick Harper's Dad - Roy Harper. Brilliant song called 'Monster'...quite a quirky chap
Charlottechicken
Is that the same Roy Harper immortalised in song by Led Zeppelin (Hats off to Roy Harper) on their thrid album?
AnnieP
Indeed. Roy was their guest lead vocalist on their "Money" track off the "Wish You Were Here" album too . Led Zeppelin were his number one fans! Nick's a million times better than his Dad!

Led Zeppelin were his number one fans! Nick's a million times better than his Dad! Er... actually, "Wish You Were Here" was by Pink Floyd and Roy Harper was on "Have a Cigar" on that album. "Money" was on "Dark Side of the Moon", also by Pink Floyd. I don't know if Roy H was on that. But Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, as well as Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd, did play on a couple of Roy Harper albums (as did the Grimethorpe Colliery Brass Band, Chris Spedding, Bill Bruford and many others). And while recording one album, Roy Harper scrounged some guitar strings from Hank Marvin, who was recording at Abbey Road at the same time, with Cliff Richard and the Shadows. AnnieP
I knew I should have gone downstairs and checked that out..... You are right, and you are right! We don't even have any Zeppelin! Anyway, Nick's still tonnes better than his Dad.....
Charlottechicken
Phew glad that's sorted, there was I getting excited thinking some long lost Zeppelin tracks had been released I am a bit disappointed now though Have a nice time in Scarborough if you go Annie, I love Scarborough. Check out the antiquated Boyes department store on Queen Street, if it is still there, always lots of strange toiletries to be found on the ground floor and at bargain prices too
