Do you want to swap with the sofa in my lounge - it's too big to get out since we changed the staircase....

 

Fingers crossed for Friday for you. Will bear in mind the bay window cost when I really can't stand my old sofa anymore, but have a feeling that when we had our porch extended over the previously flat roofed bay that the builders build the window in.

Oh dear, but I am sure you won't be surprised to hear that we've done that too. I seem to remember it was a wardrobe that went in as a flatpack and wouldn't come out. Fingers crossed for tomorrow then!

WEll, todays the day........ we have the window men coming at 1.30ish (bearing in mind they were an hour late last time) and then we have 8 people turning up for dinner ( I mean 6 ... me and OH =2) at 7pm. I am going to bite the bullet and tell the freecyclers (if they are still talking to me) that they can definitely come and collect the sofa this afternoon.

 

Its really helped hearing all your funny stories about furniture getting stuck and getting hoiked throug roof windows etc. Can't believe you dismanteled a whole staircase....... wouldn't it have been easier to send the soft back???

Claret: if your OH could pop over before 1pm today and squeeze my sofa through, I'll make him a lovely egg sarnie? its not too far to come is it?

ITS IN! It took about two hours and wasn't much of a problem at all. They got on with it, while I cooked!

I havent had any reply from the freecyclers who are probably sick to death of me by now . But one of our friends who was over last night wants it for her friend, so thats okay. We currently have Both sofas in our very small living room

 

We had a lovely evening, sat around the kitchen table!
