mostin
We drove up to Laurmaurf's last night to get her spare eglu. it's a good job we did go then as I've woken up this morning and it's snowing really hard . My OH now thinks it's really funny that I have to get togged up and go out into the freezing cold and blizzard and build an eglu.He says he will wave to me from the warmth of the house . Now he's singing a song to me about impulse buys and their consequenses. Although he can hardly sing it he's laughing so much. How can it be condiseed an impulse buy, it was October, and I cancelled them . I appologise profusely for any bladder strainage caused by yesterdays delivery . If it's any consolation I was sent home from work with many death threats But at least we passed the stupid inspection with flying colours. HENthusiastic
Congratulations on passing the inspection as if you care I soooo felt for you yesterday, being stuck at work. Especially reading that you didn't get to see the pictures knowing everybody else could!!! I bet you are out there right now, in your snow gear. How are the ladies, are they as lovely as you'd hoped? Have the other girls seen them? What do they think? Oh so much we all need to know!

Have the other girls seen them? What do they think? Oh so much we all need to know! Well the eglu is put together and they are all in it and outside in the cold now. The old girls are not impresssed , they won't stop shouting. I've given them all cuddles and told them not to be jealous but to no avail . The new girls are just as lovely in the daylight. i am looking forward to them getting to know me and being a bit more frindly. One of the Corton blues has brilliant blue ear lobes, they almost glow, so very hopeful for those eggies .

blackgold
if feeding corn makes for rich yellow yolks and feeding savoy cabbage makes for dark green poo, what do you feed to make blue eggs? lol love Sue. ps any names yet?
mostin
Still no names yet as my god-daughter isn't coming over until Sunday to choose and name her chicken. if feeding corn makes for rich yellow yolks and feeding savoy cabbage makes for dark green poo, what do you feed to make blue eggs? lol love Sue. ps any names yet? Maybe if they eat Blueberries it makes blue eggs . My old girls have not been out in the snow all week but today they had to come out in it and spent the afternoon shouting across the garden at the newbies. This photo shows the "pumkin" eglu on loan from Laurmauf and is a good shot of the blue ear lobes. They newbies went to bed all ok in the eglu with no help, so fingers crossed they will settle in quickly.
