freddie
One from a mobile kitchen manager, a goodie!! potatoes, cubed up Onions, chopped up, bit of grated cheese, salt, pepper, bit of plain flour, few k"Ooops, word censored!"s of butter, milk put cubed spuds, cheese and onion in a bowl add bit of flour(enough to coat the rest of the ingreds, and a bit of salt and pepper. stir it all up together to coat it all. Put this merry mix in a pyrex/china ovenproof dish; level it out a bit, pour milk over to cover, add the k"Ooops, word censored!"s of butter, put in slow oven(about 150 degrees) until its done. You can put bacon in with it, more cheese, some spicy sausage, whatever!! Perfect for a cold day, pretty good with cold meat as well

fluffyknickers
ooh sounds great - will give it a go. If you were to add sausages would they have to be cooked first before adding to the bowl? x

Cinnamon
OK, I am cooking this tonight & need a couple of pointers... 1 - How many will this serve, do you think? 2 - How long does it need to cook for?
myles
Sarah, did you make your Jollop If so can you answer your own questions, because I've just had a bag of ready peeled maris piper potatoes (some silly person obviously ticked the wrong ones on the potatoes section along with a tiny bag of flour and a huge bag of currants ) delivered. so now I need to use alot of taters quite quickly. Cinnamon
Yes, I did make it. I made too much for a start & it took an age to ckk through, so if I do it again I will par boil the pots first I think. I loved it - we had some fried Chorizo on top, but not everyone liked it,saying it was too similar to my cheese, potato & onion pie, which it was,I guess.
