tom123
Well they are here Well 1 of them anyway, the lavender one and her name is Daisy... She is looovveellyy! very nice colour and quite tame! Floyd has taken to her straight away We are picking another one up today, sadly she is not buff but black, the silly breeder told us he reserved a buff one then sold all of them so have decided to get black instead. Oh well! Am going to call her Maisy. Will post more pics later. Tom & Floyd, Maisy & Daisy!! Edited February 20, 2009 by Guest

tom123
Well heres Maisy... Sadly Daisy doesn't seem to have taken a liking to her. She really does NOT like her. Floyd and maisy have been in the garden all day while daisy is in the run. am just going to slowly introduce them. Maisy is quite a lot smaller than daisy but is quite cute! Sorry about the rubbishy pics, she is not very photogenic! Thanks Tom

likeastar--x
Black pekins arent very popular, so every time we go to the breeders there is one of each other colour and about 20 black ones So we took pity and got a black one, and she was gorgeous! I wish we'd got another, but we opted for lavender instead. Your girls are beautiful, I love how the lavendars feet are all clean and lilac, that was true of ours once upon a time! mostin
Gorgeous girlies Tom, just love those feathery feet . Are they full sized chooks or bantams?
LJ's Chooks
gorgeous!!! Floyd is stunning too.... I wish i could have bantams too... they are so cute, I think my big girls would not stand for it though. Are cockrell bantams as noisy as the big boys... I am so tempted to put a cockrell in to finally sort out the girls. They are still feather tugging a year on!!!
Al
Lovely hens! Smashing cockerel too
Janty
gorgeous!!! Floyd is stunning too.... Are cockrell bantams as noisy as the big boys... I am so tempted to put a cockrell in to finally sort out the girls. They are still feather tugging a year on!!! I'd say louder, if anything. The noisiest cockerel at Little Hen Rescue two weeks ago was a tiny lavender pekin. Then we rescued Cyril, the pekin cockerel from the rescue centre and he woke us all up at 4 in the morning. I went to the polytunnel to feed the chicks and I could hear him from there (he was inside the house, in a cat basket in the conservatory). tom123
Thanks for all your lovely comments Sorry to disagree with you janty, but Floyd very rarely crows and when he does it is not that loud. But then I guess it depends on the bird! Thanks Tom
