Greenhouse building race ...

Recommended Posts

Thankyou, I used to have one as a teenager and spent many hours in there. Can't wait to get going again, my youngest is interested too.

I don't have a lot of choice where it will go and it will be in shade quite a bit, I've been watching the space and it will be predominately in shade from about midday until about 3.30. This will improve over the next month as the sun rises even higher. Do you think this will be a problem? I'm thinking that it might be quite a good thing and that I will not need to buy shading etc. The trees that are shading it are in my neighbours garden and I don't have anywhere else it can go.

I will get a heater for next spring because when the sun is low in the sky it won't be getting very warm at all.

I figure it's better than not having one at all what do you think?

Have a look for Growpots or ring culture pots Egluntine - they are great for growing toms. in growbags.

I use mine now in the borders in the polygreenhouse - they are really good for watering.

I just use cheap flower pots with the bottoms knocked out then planted into the grow bag.

Each bag takes 4 pots. It gives the tomatoes and cucumbers more room and makes it easy to water. Cheap too.

Definitely....although I'm only a beginner with a greenhouse, I can see already what a difference it makes.

Top tip. Thanks.

I use both ways and find the proper ones dry out less than the plant pots, especially in growbags, not so much if they are in soil borders.
