Pimped Jaffa Cake......

 

These photos are of the practise ones - I made 4 x 8" cakes. I made one big one for my son's birthday - 12" across - but can't find the photo. I managed to get the chocolate to cover the big cake a bit better than the practise ones.

 

8" sponge cake

 

Thin layer of jelly in a bowl - I had to use lemon as I use Vegetarian jellies and couldn't find orange.........

 

Jelly on top of sponge.....I think this is Jake's, mine covered more of the sponge

 

Two helpers - the chocolate melted the jelly

 

4 finished cakes!

I can't claim this as my own - it's a cake that I googled for when we were having a party on here once....... - although I did make one for Jake's 7th birthday party....covered with insects.
