jayner
Need some help please!! This subject has probably been covered but after a quick search couln't find the answer so thought it quicker to ask! Have had my two chooks 3 months now and they are great, both laying every day and in good condition. Just had a thought though -should they be wormed regularly? If so with what and how often? Would hate anything to happen to them now! Thanks Jayne
Aggienator
I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon, but I think every 3-6 months sesm to be consensus, and most folk seem to use Flubenvet (I must get some).
C&T
Yep, Flubenvet has worked for us! Didn't think "we" had worms, but last week wormed them anyway (3/4 months since last done) and there were a few dead worms in the poo tray... So I will continue to worm them every 3 or so months just to make sure we don't get any infestations, even if they look OK. NB - Flubenvet is not a preventative, so if you suspect they have worms within the 3 months, then worth doing.
The Dogmother
I worm routinely every quarter, using Panacur 10%; *this product is not licenced for use on poultry in the UK but is recommended by most vets*. Luckily my girls never seem to have wprm problems.
Hen Watch
Personally I chose Flubenvet Intermediate Wormer – and I give this every 3/4 months. http://www.petdispensary.co.uk http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk http://www.petmeds.co.uk/
