Guest
I was sitting in the garden yesterday, in the sunshine, with Maud on my knee and thinking back to when she came to us. I just can't believe the change in her (and the other girls) but mostly Maud. Apart from her appearance, she was such a bully that I nicknamed her 'Maud the marauder'. Slowly but surely she mellowed and has become my little chum and mother hen to the rest of the girls. She much prefers sitting on my knee for cuddles than digging in the garden and she looks the picture of health and happiness. This is her when she arrived in Oct 2007, pale and aneamic looking, dry feathers, bald patches and a bad attitude! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=349045&l=2932dea0f1&id=568396756 and this was her yesterday, my little lap chicken http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2257588&l=8529c27149&id=568396756 http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2257589&l=822a84f72d&id=568396756 Edited March 20, 2009 by Guest

Such a lucky chook to have such a caring home if only there was a stop put to battery farming altogether then she wouldnt have been like that in the first place. As soon as I sit down, she jumps on me so I don't get much done without having to give her a snuggle Mind you, there's always time for snuggles and if there isn't, I make time
