GoonerChicks
Well we have done a whole week now in our super bungalow . It has been good fun, we have settled in really well and we are now 19 weeks old, mum says we look bigger in one week. We get fed some lovely stuff, but I heard them dicussing cutting down on the treats so I just create everytime they come out to see us, but I am not sure I am going to win! We have not done any free ranging yet as they have been waiting for the weekend to decide what to do I don't think they are too sure how soon they should be letting us out, but the garden looks very tempting and I am raring to go, not sure sister Isabella will be so keen she is much quieter than me and they go quite gooey around her, they have taken us both out and given cuddles, but I just want to get out and explore so if any of you mums and dads can advise them if a week is too early to let us out and about for the first time I (Phoebe) would be very grateful. Eglu's are great!
HappyHen
We have all been very good girls and always go back into our run when needed. Dad let us stay out late tonight and he helped us chase daddy-long-legs around the garden. Mum thought it highly amusing! We're sure that your mum & dad will be happy to let you out tomorrow. They wont leave you alone and will sit and watch all your silly antics. Love Bluebelle, Amber & Star
chelsea
I told you that you would like your bungalow! We go out every day for a while, we have had our eglu 2 weeks now and we know if something scares us where our home is. The garden is very exciting, best of all is we can cover it in poo....mummy doesnt like it and follows us with the dustpan and brush as we do it on her posh decking. we like to nibble on the grass and eat the bugs off the wall. im sure you will get to explore soon. cluck again soon....love sam and ella
Lesley
I hope your Mummy lets you out tomorrow - there's nothing better than trashing a garden Our parents grow vegetables - but not if we get to them first Love from The Flock

Got back from a LOVELY week in North Wales (more about that in a new post later) and find that the "laydees" have given Anita near heart failure and they have escaped EVERY DAY! My Veg patch is half dead as they've uprooted the onions, carrots and a cauliflower! (never mind though, I'll hopefully get an allotment this week!!) My Veg patch is half dead as they've uprooted the onions, carrots and a cauliflower! (never mind though, I'll hopefully get an allotment this week!!) Ooops. Exactly the same happened to my seedlings earlier this summer. I love my hens... but was furious about the trashed garden Very few beans or tomatoes this summer and the salad, beetroot and carrots never got a chance. Smashing crop of pumpkins growing though, and I forgave them the lot based on the quantity and quality of eggs..... and their gorgeous personalities Good luck with the allotment Andy, I do hope you get it And welcome to Goonerchicks- I hope you're allowed to free-range and find all the really tasty things in the garden very soon. Who needs boring old layers pellets when there's nice, young, tender green shoots worth nibbling
Popcorn
Oh Andrew - I'd love an allotment. Actually, I love to have time to look after my own back garden at the minute the few veggies we did put in have either been neglected or eaten by the chooks.... Pheobe Chook - I hope your Mummy lets you out this week. A week is just about right for you to get used to your surroundings before going out into the big wide...garden! Happy bug finding
