Omletina Kyckling
Hello clever bods!! As some of you know, I sing in a choir, and last night we had our AGM and I foolishly volunteered to look at designing a website for the choir I have designed a website before, for my teddy bears, but it was a few years ago and I used HTML programming to write the website and had free webspace with Tiscali. I want to set up this one so somebody else could take it over, should I leave the choir i.e. not in HTML. Can anybody suggest any good (preferably free) website software to put together the website. Next, what's the cheapest way to get it actually onto the internet (good FTP programmes and good, cheap hosting, or perhaps even free!!) Any advice gratefully received!! Happy chickens!
I have set up half a dozen sites using Microsoft Live, it's free and very like using a word document. It does have limitations, there are set colour palettes for instance, but if you haven't done anything before, you get a very professional website in minutes. If I wasn't so shy ( ) I'd give you a link to mine!! Link to microsoft here: http://smallbusiness.officelive.com/?lc=2057&cloc=en-gb

Geoid
If you already have a domain name and hosting, I would use Namu6, its very very easy to use. If you don't then use Weebly.
A chickychickychick-ENN!!
A content management system is the easiest way of making a site easy to pass between editors. Have you googled 'cheap cms' or 'free cms'?
