theherd123
Oh dear what have i started - again!!! Ok just to make things perfectly clear there is only ONE way to eat crumble and custard and that is with custard/cream/ice cream etc ON THE SIDE!!! That is the law!!! Its true!!! I kid you not!!! All you 'over the top', 'drowning in the stuff' people are breaking the pudding law and one day you will pay for your flouting of the rules! Shame on you all! For all the 'on the side' people - you have amazing taste and are law abiding pudding eaters!
emily95
Aha! Us "siders" are winning!! At least we obey Em's Pudding Law, not like you "toppers" and "drowners". And, Tasha... It's not because we were losing..... really..... Come on then, who's baked a crumble now because of this thread??? (Me. ) Emily xxx
Redwing
I bought some, does that count?
emily95
Btw, I think a suitable punishment for the pudding law breakers is to have their crumble stolen from them. and the custard.... Mwahahaha. Emily xxx
emily95
And, yes that does count Redwing Emily xxx
mostin
On the side, on the side, on the side . I like loads of custard but round the side of the crumble, so that it stays crumbly right up to the last moment you eat it, yum .
Minnie the Moocher
mmmm. I'm coming round to the idea of clotted cream...
Yorkshire Pudding
Lots of custard for me please. Drowning in it, with more custard left over for eating cold from the fridge later on, thick enough to stand a spoon up in it. Clotted cream - mmmmmmmmmm........................................ On it's own, off a spoon. No need for scones or jam. The crusty bit on top is the best (but then we fight over the custard skin in this house). AnnieP
On the side please. Can't stand ANY of my food types to be mixed up (shudders). When I set out my dinner, nothing can be touching any other kind of food, and NEVER EVER put more than one type of food onto your fork or in your mouth. Yeuch... Oh, I have come over all hot and sweaty now at the thought of you food mixers. I have to go back to bed. But I will make a rhubarb crumble and custard today
Christian
I made plum and strawberry crumble yesterday. Guess where the custard went? *cover your ears Annie*
AnnieP
Bad, BAD boy! I will thump you next time I see you. Still shuddering about people who mix their mashed potatoes with their gravy.
Looney
Still shuddering about people who mix their mashed potatoes with their gravy. That's a whole new topic! Personally, I make a well in the centre to hold the gravy!
