fluffyknickers
I STUPIDLY have lost the empty packet that had the seeds from Lakeland in it - I put it in a safe place! They are growing lovely but I dont know when they are ready for eating, what it says about cutting them (are they cut and come again?) and if I should be doing anything to them!? Any ideas!? Thanks Michelle
Snowy
My packet is in the greenhouse and it's dark out now If no one else has them, remind me in the morning and I'll go and have a look for you

Snowy
Okey doke- here we go: Features leaf mustards, Pak Choi and Mizuna with a hint of spice from Greek Cress and the tangy, peppery flavour of salad rocket. This blend, specially selected for Lakeland, offers an exciting alternative to bags of salad from the supermarket and is delicious added to stir fries and sandwiches. Quick growing, under 30 days in the summer months (60 days in winter)Sow April to September outdoorsSow October to March under glassSow all year round on the windowsillIdeal for sowing in containers on the patio Sowing Instructions: Sow thinly 13mm (1/2") deep in pots of multi purpose compost on the windowsill, larger containers on the patio,or sow in drills 23cm (9") apart in the garden. Growing Instructions: Thin seedlings if necessary when large enough to handle, ensuring they are kept 10cm (4") apart. If sown in the garden keep weed free and water well during dry periods. Harvest a few leaves from each plant regularly.

fluffyknickers
Wonderful thank you so much. However! I have more questions! How do I know when its time to eat them - they are pretty big. I assume they are all salad leaves ie to be eaten raw Do I pull them out at the root or cut them and hope they will keep growing? Sorry I have no idea and sound very silly dont I. Cinnamon
I am going to just pinch them off when they are about thumb sized I think. They won't need cooking - try & see
Lesley
Just keep taking leaves off as soon as they are big enough. They will keep growing. There isn't any rocket in it is there? - rocket has a nasty habit of taking over in any leaf mix . I've just cut a lot of big rocket leaves off a French Mix of salad leaves - underneath were lots of lovely leaves I won't be buying any mix which includes rocket again - I'll grow it separately - and thinly!! Blackrocksrock
Mine are ready to eat and yes there is some rocket but not loads and loads so will be picking this weekend with the other stuff I grew - I also love it as baby leaves - well they are quite big now. fluffyknickers
Mine are MUCH bigger than my thumb - think I had better pick this weekend and make a nice salad. I thinned them out couple of weeks ago and the ones I moved arent ready so maybe these will come on later and I will have some growing for a while. Think I will take a photo before picking to show you. x
Cinnamon
Oh yes,do,mine are still teeny. My Rocket has done well too this year. I got those seed mats, & they are as simple as anything. Its very peppery & strong though, stronger than the supermarket stuff,& I am bit Rocketed out at the moment
