I have taken the first step!

Here are some photos:

 

The quilt:

The daisy edging alround the quilt - this took 45mins per side for the machine to do and 3 reels of bobbin thread!:

Then the 'underside', with the top edge turned back:

The tricky bit was lining up the backing, so when you do the gutter quilting on the front the small square centre of the backing is in line with it (if that makes sense without seeing it:

So what do you thinK? The cat is now sat in the middle of it :roll:

It's gorgeous well done. :clap::clap::dance::dance::clap::clap: I just love the colours and pattern and you've made it so well, it lies beautifully. Can't believe you did the daisy stitch all round the edging you must have worn your machine out. :D

 

Thanks - the machine is fine, but my eyes were not after watching that needle dancing around for hours on end! By hand I will go around a few flowers, etc as and when I have a moment.
