Lesley
Order made Sorry Sarah! I don't know why the photo shows a bottle of champagne - thank goodness they didn't send any I did get the lovely leaflet with the hula hula girl....and diagrams of cutting a leaf and using the gel inside I gave one to my sister as an early birthday present today - I told her she might as well kill it herself and I didn't want to be responsible for it dying - it isn't her birthday until the end of May

craftyhunnypie
I'd like one of them. There were girls walking along the beach in Thailand selling a leaf of Aloe Vera for sunburn. They would cut the leaf in half & use a comb to get as much sap out as possible. Absolutely beautiful as they stored it in ice buckets. Fabulous for the skin! If you cut a leaf off, does it grow back? Thanks... Emma.x

Lesley
You're not the only one Cathy..........I nearly killed one of my new plants I took it out in that last hot spell and repotted it.....it looked so nice out on the gravelled area so I left it........for a few days..... The weather changed and we had a couple of cold nights before I noticed It was a grey-green colour compared to the nice bright green of the other one. I've cut some leaves off and others back.....and have my fingers crossed
Cinnamon
As this seems to be the place to ask.......... I bought one of these along with my Aloe, & when it came it had long fronds with flowers coming out at the top. Just been to have a look & the frons have little baby leaves the same as the plant on them.Any idea how I should go about rooting this up? Should it be cut from the plant or not???
The Dogmother
Yup, you can cut them off, dip them in rooting powder and pot them up. The plant should also have 'pups' around it, like in the photo; I've split those off successfully before and potted them up.
Cinnamon
No, no pups on mine yet. I love that they are called pups by the way - really cute
The Dogmother
It always confused me a s a child when my mum referred to her plants as having pups
Lewis
I'd forgotten about the other type, hopefully they'll survice Cathy When I potted up the new babies I left them and the 'parent' outside on the patio and forgot about them They've gone a bit brown but still ok
