I broke my kenwood bowl last weekend - just dont ask but it was kenlyte plastic and shattered into loads of shards and bits!. I put an ad on freecycle and the next morning someone answered - result I have just picked up my kenlyte plastic replacement along with a stainless steel one too - all for barter 6 lovely free range eggs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great thing freecycle is when it works so well.

A couple on the radio yesterday had been able to get most of their stuff for their wedding from freecycle following a change in their financial circumstances. Brilliant.

I don't know what it is about freecycle but it hurts my head. I haven't even logged in yet! I tried a while ago, and then forgot about it. So after reading this, I have tried logging in again, but had to re-apply So have trawlled my registration emails trying to find Yahoo login details. And had to type in the stupid letters and number combo several times as I kept getting it wrong. So its not really freecycle that hurts my head, more Yahoo

 

But well done on getting the stainless steel bowl. I have one of these and a plastic one with my 70's orange Kenwood (£15 at a local charity shop with K beater and balloon whisk ) I bought a dough hook off ebay but the non stick coating is coming off so I need to get a new one. Maybe when I get accepted to my local freecycle, I shall see if there is one going!

Yes I feel I was very lucky for a change - my kenwood was £8 at a car boot sale so cannot complain at that as my last one was broken and really really old. They are good though but could not justify buying a new one at the prices they are now! Wow they are expensive

I posted 5 bads of chicken poop last night and it was collected within about that time too.. maybe a tad longer, but really quick!!

He brought me some potted grasses that he grows and I also gave his 6 eggs as I was overflowing.
