chooklady
Had a very busy weekend moving things around in the garden again. The shed has been moved for the third time in a year. The greenhouse is now where the shed used to be. I've left a gap in between and I have put my runner beans there. The instructions reckoned on 3 hours to put the greenhouse up, it's one of the polycarbonate ones. We had the frame up by Saturday night and it took most of yesterday to finish it off. OH is very good at DIY but to say this got on his nerves would be an understatement!
Lesley
Well it's looking very good despite the time it took! What lovely straight canes! - mine are all warped......
chooklady
Well it's looking very good despite the time it took! What lovely straight canes! - mine are all warped...... I have to confess they are new ones this year as my daugther makes jumps for thr dog with them and I don't think I had a decent cane left from previous years. It's the first time in ages I have had to buy any!!
Lesley
I bought new ones yesterday but I know as soon as I cut the ties holding them together they will spring out all over the place
chooklady
I'm sorry Lesley I am quite mad, I just looked at the photo again and what you can see are strings not canes, well there are only a few canes but the rest is string, no wonder they look so straight!! Abby wanted me to make a runner bean tunnel, hope it works.

Valkyrie
Looking good - can't have been an easy task shifting sheds around. I love the way the instructions underestimate the time required. Ours said a similar thing, but because of a fault and wrong parts sent, the company sent their men to set it up for us as a gesture of goodwill (much appreciated) and it took them a day to do it and they were the experts! Like your container peas too.
chooklady
We've got the shed moving down to a fine art now!! I've got things in pots and bags everywhere. I have 10 hanging baskets with strawberries, the best one is a 3 storey one outside my patio doors!! I've got potatoes in rubblle sacks, just visible in the first picture on the left, Lots of peas in tubs, runners, french beans, carrots, onions, radishes and currants and raspberries in tubs and a herb area too and a few other things I can't remember at the moment. I've got pepper, chilli, tomatoes and cucumbers in the greenhouse or will have by this weekend. The house is suffering because of all the gardening things that are going on, oh well I'll have to catch up with that another day it will keep! Don't like housework, life's too short for too much cleaning. I wish I had more space. The land at the back of us is unused and although we mow the immediate piece outside our fence to keep the brambles down we cannot use it which is such a shame. I would love an allotment but I would like one that I could walk to preferably about 5 - 10 mins away. But there aren't any that close.
