Ardene5 Posted August 24, 2009 Share Posted August 24, 2009 What a rubbish day yesterday it was here in Preesall but a friends parents who live in Southport stated it was sunny there and that is only 30 miles away as the "crow flies". We did have a few dry spells many around 7 to 9 pm but we had heavy rain again over night. At the moment ( 8 am ) it is sunny and dry but how long that lasts is up to the weather "gods". I have never seen or heard such heavy rain, even the boys have been at the window watching. Has been like this for hours now, hope it stops soon or we'll be needing a boat to get out! Stair rods this morning but now the sun is out and I'm meeting hubby for lunch then taking the dog blackberrying if the rain holds off. Valkyrie Posted August 26, 2009 Author Share Posted August 26, 2009 I think we missed much of it here. It rained in the night and I awoke to sunshine. It's been dry ever since. It is still very windy, but it isn't that bad at all. DD says it looks scarey, but I said pooh, I've seen worse. There is still plenty of clouds around, but also blue sky and sun.
