Evil totally evil, I will be taking garlic and a crucifix next time I go to Lidl, and a stake ( not the type you cook either) be warned OAP's

OAP's are not vampires, even though some can be evil (like vampires) garlic etc wont work.

i was in our local supermarket once and i have to use a stick to help me walk because i have M.E and i was just puting my stuff on the checkout and this tiny old lady who looked postively angelic until she opened her mouth shoved into my side hard enough i went flying breaking a jam jar i was holding when i hit the floor and then said "i don't see what somone of your age needs a stick for your just an attention seeker" and then stormed off. just proces that sometimes angelic exteriors hide evil things inside

i would just like to add i'm rising 20 so yes it's not that comman but really would i use a stick unless i have too

You know when i posted this subject last week it was because I was so cross and shocked about being treated with no respect. I am shocked by what I have read on here. i know there are bad in all ages etc, but some of these stories are dreadful.

That's awful, Woodcat! I hope someone made her apologize! Old people always seem to complain about age discrimination, so to hear what she did made me go  !!

yeah it came as quite a suprise to me. No she didn't apologize she shot away so fast that no one had time however two lovely shop assistance came and lugged me to my feet and i had a free cup of tea brought to me by the manager..... at least the shop was nice that time, though i think it had more to do with the fact that they were worried about having to call an ambulace than anything

I'm a pensioner and where we live the queue to the checkout is a chance to have a chat and just pass the time of day, even if you don't know who you are talking to :!:

I appreciate people have busy lifestyles but why get your knickers in a twist by trying to barge in when I am sure that extra 5 minutes queuing won't be the be all and end all of an otherwise pleasant day :)

You know the sort of person.........(car, shopping trolley.....whatever) has to overtake at great speed, lights flashing, horn blowing, fixed, evil, 'get outta my way, you idiot' sort of look.....and then.....they end up no further forward

Myself? I prefer the more docile route...... though unfortunately can't say the same for the OH

Hi jackiepoppies, I would;ve never I've thought you were an OAP, you seem younger if you know what I mean? I love to chat when standing in the queue and if an elderly person asks for help getting stuff off high shelf i will oblige quite happily. i just dont like being barged by anyone regardless of age. manners cost nothing and make the world a nicer place to live. its a minority who when they have all day to shop mow the rest of us down. i am nearly a pensioner to at 47
