Karen & co.
I have just been to the Harvest Festival service at the school my younger two go to (can we have a happy crying emoticon?) It was lovely, and rather different, they based it on a news room interview sessions, with mock farmers, local traders, talked about farmers markets and organic producers, and then explained about Fair Trade, and ........chickens Christopher was 'interviewed' as a chicken keeper and mentioned the eglu as a "high tech chicken house", he also talked about our girls and also about the process of rescuing battery hens, and how battery eggs sneak into lots of products! I had no idea what they had planned, as he wanted it to be a surprise Year 6 had arranged it all amongst themselves with guidance only from their teacher, and it was wonderful
Mrs Frugal
That's wonderful ! Well done to Christopher ! I hope the other children listened and took in about the battery eggs ending up in other foods and will tell their parents. Educate them young and it sticks!
