Nicola O
I put two 'offers' on freecycle yesterday - a hoover and a bag of glorious chicken poo !! Had dozens of people wanting the hoover, but....NO ONE WANTS MY CHOOK POOP !!!! I gave it a wonderful description, extoling the wonders of chicken poo, that it's a fantastic fertilizer & works wonders in the compost heap etc. but still no takers. Oh well, I guess Dad will have to have another load for his compost heap . Nicola.

Ygerna
Do you have allotments near you (try phoning your council if you aren't sure). They usually have a notice board up at the entrance, you could pop a little sign on there. I am sure they will want it.
Ain't Nobody Here
You'd think someone would want it . I always have a chuckle to myself in Klondyke Garden Centre when I see 2 (not very big) tubs of Chicken "Manure" for £10 .

Guest
My allotments are a very social place and on sunday mornings the shop is open and it's very busy! You may find this is the case at your local allotments, so have a drive out tomorrow to test the water. You may find a regular taker for your poo!!! At mine we have a space next to the hut for "donations" and anything going for free ccan be left there! It's worth a try! If I were closer - i'd have it!!! It not only feeds and conditions - it makes a great mulch - I can't get enough of it! I even clean out the run more than I need to just to just to have something to use as a mulch on my allotment! Good luck! Louise
Nicola O
At last someone wants it Two people in fact The first guy (who I offered it too straight away) still hasn't got back to me so I think it will go to the second chap who happened to mention that he was thinking about getting chooks but was a bit nervous about it - I think I feel an invitation to visit chooks is needed . The allotment idea is a brilliant one - I might try that next time. Nicola

Nicola O
Well, chook poo collector and his wife have just left . Had a lovely visit, they stayed about 45 mins. and loved the eglu and cube. We had a good chook chat, and they left not only with a bag of poo but some fresh eggs in an omlet box (so they've got web site and phone number) Nicola
