Ain't Nobody Here
I have to scoop broken egg or softies out of the nestbox almost daily and have been putting them in the compost bin (which is within arm's length of the eglu). I do wonder sometimes though if that's wise? Will it attract vermin/flies etc?
AndyH1981
if it were me i'd just check them straight in the bin, but then im quite squemish and even looking at some of the pics on here have made me go a bit

Ain't Nobody Here
Hadn't thought of that . Trouble is they tend to be all mixed up with Easibed and I don't think he'd like that .
Egluntyne
I put them in the compost bin too.
Saronne
If I find them in the poo tray (which is where I normally find softies), then they go straight into the compost bin with the rest of the droppings. Not had any problems with vermin...YET. Saronne

chickencam
mine go into the compost bin too with no problems. I haven't had a softie recently, we used to get quite a few from our dear departed White Star.
