As I hung out the washing this lunchtime, I distinctly saw two black tails disappearing into the kitchen, with my Sussex on sentry duty. Naturally, they feigned ignorance when confronted. 'So you mean we're not allowed in the kitchen? Oh, and this is the kitchen? What an embarrassing error' etc.

They are now sitting unrepentently on the back step. When there is grass and all other manner of goodies to trash actually in the garden.

hey

I got woken up a while back as somthing felt like it wa clamping around my foot. looked up and it was only one of the chooks who'd snuck past the other members of my house and was settling down for a nap :lol: mine also distroyed my catflap and use to climb through and in  they seem to feel that the house is a far more interesting place than the huge garden they have

Crumbs under the table? Oh no, we never have those.

One of the reasons we shoo them out is the reproachful looks our cat casts at us (he's a bit scared of them) - 'but you promised they wouldn't come in'. He's never forgiven me for the day Buffy started eating his biscuits...

hmmm my 4 have started to sneak in too; led by Minerva who is a anarchist. What I don't understand is why they much prefer to poo in the kitchen than anywhere else in the world and why when they are shooed, they don't go out the way that they came in but go everywhere else but out :?

After DS's birthday bash last week, Sioux ran in and pinched a Hula Hoop that had dropped on the floor. Each time they sneak in a little further. We now have a piece of board that can be slid across the door, propped up by the table. They are little pests - tiptoe in behind me sometimes. Then I hear them quietly talking tactics and I go "about turn, left right left right, you 'orrible little birdies". Strangely they know exactly what I mean and go out whingeing all the way. It is twice now that OH's slippers have been, um, "Christened" much to his disgust and our delight! Strange it is only his, especially as DD now has 4 pairs of shoes strewn about there and my scabby old flip floppy things - they never get those. I shall have to be on guard tomorrow because that has probably blown my luck now.

That's a brilliant photo!!

Rofl was "helping me" prepare dinner last night - she came into the kitchen a few feet from the back door. I knew she was there but I didn't make a fuss - then I smelt this awful smell - turned round to see a runny poo half on the floor/half on the rug and Rofl's tail disappearing out the door!! Charming!
