thanks to this topic Here by fourbecameeight I have made a skirt for my youngest Daughter it's not perfect but for a first attempt i'm quite happy with it

You've given me some inspiration now! After reading of everyone's sewing for their children I have been feeling very guilty that I can sew for everyone else, but the boys rarely get new clothes! I have been given some blue fabric, and a big roll of thick, beige cotton, so last night I ordered some patterns from McCalls (well, they only have 3 patterns for boys clothes, so I ordered all 3 ). Watch this space!

aww thanks for everyones nice comments am going to make another one this evening for eldest daughter, and i've just bought some material to make a dress out of sew hip issue 6 (that Kate kindly sent me ) for each of the girls so i'll be busy for a while

This looks great - I use to make a lot of clothes for DD - now she is too cool for things made by mother. So make them while you can before they group up!
