Young Chicken Lovers

Recommended Posts

Not sure if this is right section for this but just wondered if there were any young people (18- 25) that want to chat about they're chooks? Especially in East Anglia?

I'm 21 and have had chickens for about a year now, now I couldn't imagine life without them!!

Started with the idea of having 3 which has now become 9, if I had more land I'd have more chooks!!

Edit, have changed your font size back to normal so that it's not 'screaming'. Welcome to the forum - you'll find a lot of like-minded people here

Hi im 26 and have had my chicks about 4 weeks as well now! i have 3 Silkies and 2 light sussex! i love the Silkies looks but the Sussex are a bit braver and come to see what you are doing, i cant imagine our garden without them in now! Im hoping to let them free range but they are only 10 weeks and there are a lot of cats around by us that love to hunt so im going to resist until they are fully grown!!

What made you get into chickens in the first place?

Hi Im 26 and new to the forum :D I have been reading ( and looking forward to) all the new posts for a while and have just registered ( I am quite shy!) After reading as much as I could about chickens for 9 months I finally had my first chickens 5 weeks ago. They are 3 bluebelles (25 weeks old) and 6 Burford brown chicks (12 weeks old) I love them all! I watch them for hours and really couldn't be without them now :D

I'm 33 now! I wish I was young again!

You're still young  You must be, I'm 35 and still young

Nah not me! I've started to get all sorts of aches and pains! And I find myself coming out with the types of sayings that my dad used to say! :?
