Valkyrie
I started with Chelsea for a cup final in 1971, because all the nuns came from Liverpool and so were cheering on the other side which I think was Leeds. The same happened the following year when "Ooops, word censored!"nal were playing. I stayed with the Gunners for years and became an avid fan getting all the mags. Then they were paid too much and the game deteriorated in my books, and then all the team were foreign. No Brits (bearing in mind a lot of the squad were Irish! ) Sort of QPR because it was my dad's team, but only if I see the results to go yay or oh dear. So now I suppose it is England, but then they never put into the game as much as the Scots do. Now it's cricket for me, nice and polite - usually. Cricket - love it or hate it? Space Chick
Hate it, its sooooo dull. What do you think is really boring?
Valkyrie
Listening to OH talking finances and all that. I kind of switch off. We both do the finances between us, he does one part and I do the bits for the bills etc. Do you share or does only one of you do the book balancing act? Valkyrie
Looping the loop and doing stunt things in a bi-plane - the safest I have ever felt in an aeroplane, funnily enough. I absolutely loved it. Flying - happy or scared?

Valkyrie
Love the Lotus Eclats, or Ferrari's or Lamborghini's. Bearing in mind I just pootle and don't speed at all! Need for speed, or slow and steady?
Chickvic
Slow and steady - in everything I do. Is that a strength or a weakness?! Do you think you are physically strong?
Valkyrie
My arms are quite strong - when I used to swim in a team it was my arms mainly that powered me along. Then I used to thrash OH with arm wrestling, but I do have huge muscles in my forearms - so much lifting and gardening. Everywhere else is pure lard. Do you swim? Chickvic
I love swimming and I know it's safe cos it's illegal to harpoon whales I have to check there's enough water in the pool though! How old were you when you learnt to swim?
Valkyrie
I was always in the water, but when my Aussie heartthrob arrived at school and he could dive too, I thought, that's it I'm not having arm bands any more. So I guess I was about 8 years old. My grandparents lived in the New Forest, so went to Southbourne and Boscombe a lot - sometimes Studland and Swanage. I gather my swim ring burst at Swanage and never bothered after that in the sea - bit more buoyant I suppose. I was younger then, but don't know how much - 6 maybe? I'm too embarrassed with my size now to go in a pool, but the last time I did, I thrashed OH in a race. Are you competetive with your OH? Fizzle Knit
I can communicate in French on a very basic level - basically the nouns I remember from school - nothing so fancy as verbs though! What would you do for an hour on the fourth plinth at Trafalgar Square?
Valkyrie
Have a picnic! Then try and avoid those awful vermin pigeons. But I'm not fond of London anyway - even though most of my family seem to have come from there - I long for the open spaces and greenery. If only some of the wonderful places in London were outside the city! Do you like London or like me, like the slower pace in the country?
