Yolky
Its going to thunder here tonight and so I thought I would check on the girls at bed time and Peaches my was roosting in the blinking nest and when I came near to her she did the broody noise, I can't describe it but you know the one I mean lol. She was fine allll dayyyyyyy and she goes broody at bed time. I couldn't find a ball to put in the nest box to stop her sleeping there so I put in a toy ambulance Every time she goes broody the kids ask me to get some eggies. It is a good job we are on holiday in a bit, cannot have new chicks whilst being away.

The Dogmother
Aww, what a lovely Mum she makes. I have an exceedingly grumpy lavender pekin at the moment - she traditionally broods every summer; next year I shall put her out of her misery and set some pure breed eggs under her. The Dogmother
I sincerely hope not!!! She's the most reliable broody I've ever had - broods all the way through from May to September unless I bung her in the slammer!
