Muvver hen
Can anyone help?My broody booted the newly hatched chicks out ,i rescued one only.I now have one chick 5 days old on its own under a lamp.I have tried to buy in a couple of other chicks for it to have company but no success so far.A long shot i know, but is there anyone near me who could let me borrow or buy a chick or two?It looks like an orpington in size, not bantam. Muvver hen
Sorry about shortness of above, bantams kicked up and i went out to find a fox ready to pounce!!Needless to say they are on their eglu run now.The second photo (above) is of lonely when first rescued from the banties, literally wrapped in cotton wool.We kept her in our t shirts close to the warmth of our bodies for the first couple of days, and as you can see she now has lin and sun for company and is thriving! Thanks to Andrew from omlet that these pictures went on as i am a tecno illiterate ha ha .sorry for the delay

atsw
Told you i was useless . No, we all have to start somewhere. Great pictures, and looking forward to hearing (and seeing!) how the three chicks grow up over the coming weeks and months. Any problems, you know where to ask . Valkyrie
Were you getting a bit of eager pressure there Muvver? Anyhow, the photos are lovely and I think the fur coat looks just right! Well done (I had to get DD to help) and OH always loads up the pics because it is his camera!
Muvver hen
I am just useless at the computer! I had to take a college course to get this far M hubby works in Basingstoke by the way.Quite a commute for him.Enterprise Mouchel. (hatch)The mark under lonelys eye where the banties tried to peck her eyes out has nearly gone now, hardly see it in the pictures.
Valkyrie
Crikey that is a long journey! My son spends a fair amount of time in Southampton because of friends in uni there. No job and all that, but he manages to travel and enjoy himself! Hmmph. Last week it was Southampton, Pompey and then Southsea! OH's cousin lives in Throop. OH does try and show me how to do some things on the computer, but unless I can write it down as he goes, I can't remember until I've done it for myself a few times. But he gets impatient and clicks here there and everywhere and I can't keep up. DD is a little more patient. Ooh speak of the devil and he appears!
