One Man Banned
Son of Dork? No I'm not! There'll be five of us going to Kylie; Joe, Me, Anita and her sister and almost BIL Ian. Would be great for a meet up if your going the same day Dan as we're leaving here in the morning to get there in plenty of time (i like to be at least 3 hours clear for when I get there - gives a buffer when things go wrong!) I changed the name yesterday so it didn't take you all long to notice - it's a process of changing my login names for everything to one name as i'm getting confused with all the websites I go to. I did feel bad for changing it from Molly but she is in the signature and never far from my side! A xx

Cate in NZ
Sounds exciting, I'm sure you'll all have a great time..... and Dan you do realise that we'll be relying on you for the photos. I'm not seeing Kylie sadly, but I will be seeing Sound of Music, Immi's dance school arranged a block booking for each student and a parent each to go, and better still because it's a group booking we've got a 50% discount on each ticket

Charlottechicken
And they wonder why people don't let the train take the strain!
Charlottechicken
And they wonder why people don't let the train take the strain! I think it's a symptom of a privatised industry (rather than a public service). The reduced evening (I won't call it night) service is one of the things that annoys me most about the railway today but I think the operators can't afford to run a full train at midnight for a dozen people who might have been to a concert so that's that. Anyway, stop knocking the railway! It's brilliant these days (except for the night service and the overcrowding in the day). But other than that... I'm not knocking it Dan, but that's when I want to use the train! When I saw Guns n Roses there were 12000 people (slight exaggeration!) trying to get on one bus back to Birmingham city centre, because they wouldn't run a train from the NEC each way (one towards Coventry/London and one towards Birmingham/Wolverhampton) after midnight. There always seems to be a late train from Wolverhampton back to Brum though.
One Man Banned
you've summed it up brilliantly as always Dan but also found the solution. make all rail commuters work flexi time so the trains can run all day without being overcrowded! sorry - i'll stop being silly now! The cross City line in Birmingham is chocca by 7.30 Andrew. Many years ago when we had to stand in the guards vans, a woman fainted and she just slumped down a couple of inches but stayed upright as it was so packed
One Man Banned
my first trip on a Virgin Voyager was last year or so and the train back to gloucester at 1900 was so packed, adam and I sat on the floor in the vestibule by the loo. with all our shopping bags Very much felt like I had slummed it - and to think I also had to pay for that too!
