I feel really bad.

Recommended Posts

I have just had a really bad argument with my dad. It was about the golf of all things.

We argue quite a lot, but it's never that bad. What happened was that he wanted to watch the golf, and it went on for an hour longer than we thought. Me and my sister have just got mario kart for our wii. We wanted to have a go on it, so I told my dad this and he just said that he was going to watch top gear and that he didnt care about what i wanted to do. :( I then tried to get the remote off him, and tried to explain that it wasn't fair, and he spilt his red wine over the sofa that my mum has been re-upholstering, and it was her mum's. She is now sat downstairs crying, and my dad is on the phone to his nan, who we have just found out has osteo-perosis (sp?) :(

Iknow that this all sounds really petty, but i just had to get it off my chest. I feel so bad, and am so upset about my nanny - she is 96 and still lives on her own. This will just make her so lonely, she has no relatives near to where she lives.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest. :)

oh no ... sorry to hear that. Sounds like everyone is upset about your nanny, and your dad probably feels bad too about spilling the wine (which wasn't really your fault from the sound of things).

I'm sure it will all calm down in a bit ... maybe your mum would appreciate a hug?

Poor Kitbag you feel horrid at the moment but your mum and dad will have been feeling stressed about your dad's nan and at least you have let them release some emotions. Chin up girl your mum will forgive you. Hugs x

Osteoporosis is brittle bones and her Dr will give her calcium and vitamin D to prevent her bones getting soft.

She's probably best not jumping out of any aeroplanes for a bit :D

Aaaw Megan :( Sending you lots of big hugs xxxx

All you can do is apologise for your part in the wine spilling - and it was only a part, please don't blame yourself, accidents happen.

Sorry to hear about your Great Nan, she is obviously a well loved member of the family and no wonder you are all feeling quite emotional at the moment.

xxxxx

Poor you, it sounds like things have conspired against you tonight :( I will look at this from a parent's point of view. Why don't you go and make your mum and dad a cup of tea or glass of wine or whatever they like, give them a hug and say sorry. Then tell them how you are feeling about your nan. They may be thinking that you are being thoughtless as wont realise how you feel unless you tell them. Thankfully as a parent, I can tell you that arguing wont ever stop them loving you :D

Thanks for your replies guys! I have made my mum a strong cup of tea and given her a hug, and she is playing the piano - it helps her to calm down if she is upset or angry. Dad is still watching top gear! I will talk to my mum and dad about nanny tomorrow when things have calmed down a bit.

What would i do without you guys!? :)

Hi Kitbag

WHy not see if you can get an old TV (for free) on Freecycle? Lots of them are being given away at the moment as people are upgrading to digital and/or Hi Def.

I'm not sure whereabouts in Berkshire you are (I'm in Old WIndsor) but there are several Freecycle groups in Berkshire.

That way you could have a dedicated TV for the Wii.
