The Dogmother
Lesley-Jean thinks that it works, and a past poster called Twiglet swears by hers too.

melcotton
I know lots of people who use it really successfully. Seems if you have persistent foxes around then it may be worth the investment. Mel

Lesley H
Thanks guys - I think I'm going to get one - aside from losing a chicken to a fox there's the unhappy prospect of a savaging with huge vets bills...so in the long run it could well be cheaper!!!! I appreciate your advice though not relying on it totally - but every little helps.
theherd123
I have heard that if males pee close to the site of where your chickens are this can deter foxes too. My OH obliged when we built our hen hotel. DONT ever tell him i told you this!!

Martin B
You could always get a pair of old socks or tights and go down to the barbers and ask for some hair and then discretely tie it up!

buffie
odd that Lesley H and I have edited my post as I wondered about the effect it would have on my cars (not much I imagine) so perhaps I meant cats. I am in need of a long sleep BBx
