Olly
I fell by the wayside a while back! Actually I did take a big bag to the charity shop a few weeks ago, but forgot to list it - must have been at least ten items in there though. A friend is running a charity stall at her workplace to raise funds for the local cat sanctuary, and I have given her quite a lot of nearly new stuff that was in my 'emergency presents' box. Generally if something's been in the box for a couple of years and hasn't found a home, that means I don't like it enough to give it to anyone! tooties
I sold heaps of stuff on ebay a few mths ago, but the fees for ebay and paypal put me off doing it again (oh and the fact that I'd underestimated quite a few of the postage costs!) - so well done you!! HENthusiastic
I found this thead two days ago. I read about 9 pages and then gave up. I thought it was awe inspiing and a really good idea. I was thinking, I could neve find 100 items to get rid of. Also, I haven't got the time to stat clearing out the house looking for stuff to get rid off. Then........... I went to the toilet and as I was sat there I opened a draw and pulled out: 1. 2 nit combs (we didn't need 3 !) 2. a mud face mask 3. a bottle opener (not sure why its in the bathroom!) 4. Half used bottle of hair straightening gel 5. Tube of moisturiser 6. bottle of massage oil Then I thought......... maybe I actually could do this. Maybe I coul get to 100. I trundle off to do my hair in the spare room and pulled open a draw....... 7. sanctuary body wash 8. sanctuary body scrub 9. sanctuary body butter ........... keeping them all to use one day...... no more..... out they go. 10. Sachet of elasticizer???? TEN items in a matter of minutes. I'm game! 100 here I come. 11. One strange fluffy camel 12. A mobile phone holder. 13. A rather lovely, but useless stone egg in a pretty box. 14. 2010 diary never used. 15. Waterproof poncho (hideous!) 16. Magnetic travel chess board. 17. Candle holder 18. Sachet of dove body milk. 19. Half use bottle of purfume. 20. Tube of volumising clay conditioner. 21. Bottle of skin scrub. 22. Sanctuary foaming bath soak. 23. Dry moisturising shampoo. 24. Picture fram. 25. Book called "Super Sue" 26. Nail varnish. 27. Scrub mit. 28. Lip gloss. Okay, I'm not sure if I'm allowed to inclue stuff like half used tubes an bottles of stuff, but I don't think I can do it otherwise. I've told OH about it and she thinks its fun too. Fab idea. Thanks omlet.
