I really hope the police helicopter isn`t on it`s way over my garden later tonight......otherwise they will see me in my Pj's and crocs, with a miners headlamp on, shuffling chickens! and it better stop blooming raining! Chook n Boo Mum
How's it gone then, are you dried out having swapped them over or are you waiting for a lull in the wet stuff to make a dash for it ? Hope all goes well, **Note to Brandy & Saffy and the big girls....behave, your mum has much faith in you.....and her pjs only hold so much rainwater... ** Sha x

Space Chick
So, how did it go?
Falkor
Well I have been up for hours! (worrying about the girls ) needn`t have worried! Well...no gap in the wet stuff last night so I braved it in my Pj's! To say I was a bit damp in an understatment! Brandy and Saffy arrived at the for their sleepover at approx 10pm last night. The big girls let them in and Brandy immedietly snuggled up bewtween Gin and OSH in a fluffy orp bundle. Who needs a sleeping bag when you are an Orp! Saffy was made to sleep in the spare room (nestbox) and Fizz stood guard it seems to make sure she stayed in there! They were up and chatting like mischievious little girls at about 6.30 so I they got let out into the garden for a bit of very early free-ranging. More of me in the garden in my PJ`s! All seems to have gone well! No plucked feathers to be found in the cube although Saffy is still looking a little threadbare from Brandys feather buffet gorge when they first arrived and the last lot of purple spay has washed off in the rain so I will re-apply tonight! I am hoping that they all put themselves away in the cube tonight......or praying for some tropical heat as PJ's - garden - rain - dead of night = not much fun for chicken mummy! Redwing
Yes thats good news, hopefully all will be fine when they have to negotiate the ladder to bed tonight
Falkor
Day two in the big girls house....... Brandy and Saffy def know how to use the ladder! up and down, up and down they went last night. they normally go off to bed early but seem to think they were missing out on something so kept getting up again There was a bit of a skirmish when Saf decided she was going to sleep in the back left corner which is Fizzes spot but there was no malicious pecking or screaming. they were all snoozing happily until I went took them all out one by one to spray them with johnson Going well so far! Slight issue with the feeding of growers/layers pellets but both are available and Brandy and Saff are now 17 weeks so not too much of a problem.
