Does anybody else ever feel.....Part # 6

Hi Peeps

Sorry you weren't happy with your results, Lewis - we think you are good enough (anyone remember the vet programme with that young girl who kept trying and trying - she did succeed in the end).

Well yesterday at the DTB centre - DD loved the little lavender and partridge Pekins and the Barbu d'uccles (? spelling) - I call them Barbie dolls. She leaned over the rails and while they were stuffing corn she squidged their bottoms - so they are on her list. I rather liked the Faverolles - I suppose they are bigger versions of the Barbies - mutton chops big and small! OH still likes the Orpies, but this time he wants a partridge version and a gold laced (how handsome and what fantastic feathers the boys have - never seen anything like them before). We came home empty handed - not ready just yet, and now DD is now realising that Jiu Jiu is probably a boy (well, there's no "probably" in my mind now) - and I said to them over the table at lunch (the DTB do nice lunches and it's all very clean) that I was quite happy to eat Jiu Jiu and although she pulled a face is resigned to the probable outcome. Oh, and the black Orpie bantams are on her list.

Today was shopping and catching up with washing - off to stay at OH's cousins in Zummerzet (so I will be away tomorrow and Saturday). We went for dinner this evening to the Little Chef at Popham (just a few miles away from Christian) - it's the Heston doobriedoo one. It was quite pleasant - I had lamb shank, but although it was very nice and very tender, it could have done with a bit of rosemary or garlic - or both. Well, we were all happy with what we had - even mumsie - who stuffed a huge portion of choccy pudding and ice cream! She had soup for her main meal - she usually doesn't eat much, but my goodness - she had the giggles all evening (chocolate rush!!!):lol:

So I am off - hey I thought I'd have to catch up loads - you are all snoozing. Well, I'll say nighty night because again we're up and away early - mum manning the kitchen and DD sorting girls. DS - goodness knows - party on Saturday for him.

Byesie byes

Love from Meeeee

Evening chaps :D

Lewis, do not worry about your exams, my best mate had to resit her A Levels (in the pre AS days - I know I'm old!) as she didn't get the grades she needed to become a dental surgeon. She resat, passed, got the uni she wanted a year late and has now been practising for years, and has recently passed her senior consultant exams. At the time it seemed like the end of the world when her friends were going off to uni and she was re-siting her A levels, but it has paid off for her, as she is now the one with the best career.

If you really want something you will achieve it.

Koojie - Love you dinner plans. OH and I are booked into the only Michelin star restaurant in Wales next month, and have dinner reservations at a restaurant run by former Michelin Restaurant chefs over the bank holiday weekend. I would love to go to one of Hestons restaurants, although do not like the sound of snail porridge. I am a right foodie (probably why I am podgy!) so love fancy restaurants

Hi Peeps

Barbu d'uccles (? spelling) - I call them Barbie dolls.

 Thats right :D

I had a trio of Barbu d'Anvers (the same but a darker colour), and we used to sell both breeds at the farm. Its easier for the children to call them Belgian Quail Bantams

We had a young hedgehog in the garden earlier - I saw it when we were putting the guinea pig + chickens away. I think it had a mite on its head, a little white thing, but its a wild animals so you can't pick it up and 'help'it!
