Jillus
Snowy, how scary for you! I hope she is Ok now, you and she must have been terrified. I have applied some hydrocortisone but as we live out in the country cannot get to a chemist as I am unable to drive with one hand, and both my neighbours are out! Typical, I have however managed to make a cup of tea with my left hand and had a bowl of cornflakes, some things are still looking too difficult, like doing up my bra so I may have to have an enforced PJ day! One handed typing is proving very slow though. I had great plans for this weekend, off on a long holiday a week today and I had planned to wash and iron all the summer clothes to take, wrap the Christmas presents that I have aready bought ( we don't get home until the end of November, write the Christmas cards etc etc) So an enforced stay on the sofa looms and I don't even have any decent DVDs. Happy-Mama
that's not good at all, it's really frustrating when you want to get a lot done and simply can't cause you are unwell or sore. that's how I feel when my back gets sore. At the moment I have a cold too so struggling to get stuff done as is really wiping me out. I def think you should ask a neighbour to drive you to a chemist when they get back, or see if your GP would be willing to make a house call as you can't carry on with one hand for long and need it sorted before your holiday. Alis girls
Ditto everything said. I was bitten 2 weeks ago by something ended up with cellulitis and now have broken blood vessels where I er scratched it i think a Doctors or hops visit is in hand. You may need antibiotics or hydrocortisone. good luck
Paddy
Having never had any bad reactions to stings, I was surprised this year, having been stung twice I came up with huge welts again the size of CD's. The area was red, raised and swollen. I let them recover by themselves but it took a good week to go down. I thought that I may have been bitten by horse flies. redhotchick
Jillus, you may need antibiotics. It sounds like you may have secondary infection. How is it now?
Gem_Seb
I was bitten by something a few weeks back on my hand! twice! my hadn swelled up was boiling hot and itchy! took antihistamenes and the swelling went down but i was left with 2 big red itch lumps where the bites actually were. I went to my chemist and he gave me some cream which was amazing and it went within 4-5 days and definately helped with the itching! Hope it clears up for you soon! redhotchick
Jillus, if the area of redness increases don't wait for medical help until tomorrow. I got antibiotics from the Dr. and he told me if it continued to spread to go straight to A&E. Take care, I hope you're OK.

Had to take a day off work today as I am so far behind with preparations/stuff due to the damn wasp, fingers crossed the next five days are trouble free.
