gooner.girl
I'm sure there is a thread about this already but i couldn't find it! Anyone direct me? Basically how do people give their chickens poultry spice? On the back of my tin it said give it with layers mash but mine are fed on pellets??? I gave a bit in some porridge the other day but am looking for a more long term soloution! How often do people give it? All year round? every day? chocchick
I have been mixing it since the Autumn. It is a supplement for Winter/moulting/off-colour chicken so I would only feed for the Winter months. I've not had a moult though. I have layers mash, but presume you would just mix in with pellets and it would coat them?
The Dogmother
Yup, I just shake it in with the pellets and it seems to get eaten. Occasionally I make up a porridge with it in. Personally I find the liquid version easier to add to the water.
feemcg
Every second day I add about half a teaspoonful into their pellets - i'm currently making a porridge with pellets and water as I got a different brand and they didn't seem very keen till i started doing this.
