Dan went into school again fine, got to go get him for lunch so back to my parents house, then back to the school. Then having my hair cut at parents house, think my dad might have to pick Dan up from school. Think I'll be falling asleep on the sofa again tonight.

It's been lovely and sunny all morning here. Forecast says rain for this avo though, so better make sure I wear my raincoat to get Dan. Blow the rain the other direction Debs, it might not reach Cardiff then

I spoke to one of the keepers that was wondering around, and the pair came from Longleat I think, and its their retirement home. Then the male died of old age, so they got a new younger male lion who then broke his leg so had to be PTS, so she is on her own again.

She said because she's so old she just lies in the sun all day and is happy enough on her own .

I'm off for a meal with dad, brother + uncle - my moms Uncle has been ill for a few years and has slowly gone blind over the last few months. We knew he was ill, but thought he was coping etc, but had a heart attack last week and passed away while we were away which was a bit of a shock.

We live 5 mins away from the hospital so the family stayed here the night before he died, but my mom has gone to my aunt's with my nan and her other aunt.

Sorry Clootie, was tucking in to a mushroom omelette, made with 1 Ace egg and 1 Polly egg I'm trying to use the Ex batts eggs for cakes, quiches and omelettes etc and using the other girls eggs for poaching, frying and selling as they have nicer yolks

I'm trying to de-clutter the living room and kitchen today. I seem to be talking 1 step forward and 3 steps back I have a man coming around this evening to discuss me getting a cleaning and ironing lady in once a week, but its too much of a mess here for me to let him in yet

 

My logic is, I'm still not 100% but want to go back to work, so if I get someone in to clean and iron its one less thing to worry about

I have been trying to clear the decks in the kitchen. So far one surface all nice and clean. Plus the top part of the cooker (not going to attempt down below with the ovens yet). Ovenclean often pops into my mind and I even went as far as taking their phone number off the van at the neighbours house (if they use them, they must be good as these people are well known for being fussy - actually the previous owners of the house were the same ).

I also made some cinnamon bread with sultanas (before the postie arrived, but I managed to squeeze in some plummy jam and a slice of hot bread - the best of both worlds ).

Lots of washing up that I wanted someone else to do, but they didn't and I couldn't bear it any longer. Now for part 2 - the worktop on the other side of the cooker and at the same time I will be cleaning the microwave. Busybusybusy.

You know when you are trying to declutter and it ends up looking even worse, during the process. Well thats my kitchen and living room

 

I just hope it looks more presentable by the time OH comes home at 5ish and by the time the man comes at 6. If not I will be Really really embarrassed.

 

The only thing is I think I am overdoing it as am feeling completely shattered , but if I don't do it. Hello rock, hello hard place
